"HIPAA-What's New for 2010"

Learn what's new for 2010.  Be prepared for the HITECH Act and how certain requirements go into effect February 18, 2010.  The Electronic Health Record will be launched by the end of 2014. In preparation for the computerized medical record, HIPAA regulations have increased penalties and now subjects Business Associates to compliance.  Course includes how practices can avoid criminal violations by implementing the necessary policies and procedures for medical and dental staff. Includes the new Breach Notification requirements. (2 Hours)
